Foghog Underground Grease Trap – a range of Grease Traps manufactured from high strength Polyethylene Twinwall, with a robust integral filter basket to retain/trap 25kg of vegetable matter and solids that may enter the drainage system via washing and food preparation facilities.
Foghog Underground Grease Traps are ideal for small take away restaurants, fish and chip shops and small food processing establishments.

Model FH2250 – 250 litre heavy duty grease trap with integrated removable filter basket and grease baffle. Comes with 110mm pipework as standard (cover not supplied). Composite cover can be purchased separately.
Manufactured from High Strength Twinwall, Foghog Grease Traps can be installed in minimum granular surround or as dug material where applicable, making significant savings on overall installation.
Do I Need Grease Trap?
Grease Traps and separators must be fitted in all commercial hot food premises by law. These include Restaurants, Hotels and guest houses, Pubs, bars and cafes, Commercial kitchens, Fast food restaurants and takeaways, Bakeries, Food processing, Hospitals and healthcare facilities, Manufacturing operations and Industrial process applications as per Building Regulations.

2.21 Drainage serving kitchens in commercial hot food premises should be fitted with a grease separator complying with BS EN 1825-1:2004 and designed in accordance with BS EN 1825-2:2002 or other effective means of grease removal.
The Water Industries Act 1991 makes it a criminal offence to damage the sewer network by introducing FOGs into it.
The Building Regulations (Approved Part H) requires any hot food premises to install BS EN1825 Grease Interceptors in its drain runs.
The Environmental Protection Act 1990 imposes a ‘Duty of Care’ on commercial premises with respect to their waste and this includes FOGs.
The Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations 2013 (including HACCP) sets out objectives including the management of FOGs.
